Scene City 3: A Social Experiment
29 August 2012Hi all, how’s it going?
Here at Orful HQ, we’ve been hard at work on a few different things lately and I’m proud to say that Scene City 3 is very close to being finished! Without doubt, it will be launching at Thought Bubble in November along with the next volume of Orful Comics. That said, I currently have three pages in my PDF that look like this:
Which is where you lovely people come in!
Since it’s you guys who are going to be reading this book, what would YOU like to see fill up these three pages?
I’m looking for rough ideas for a three page story and thought I’d take a punt at crowd-sourcing them just in case my brain fails.
What kind of music would you like to see lampooned? What sort of characters do you imagine live in the gutter that is Scene City? What kind of stuff would you like to see these idiots get up to?
Maybe you don’t want a three page filler story! Maybe you’ve got a better idea to fill the space? Let me know, I’d love to hear it!
This book is after all for you guys and I want it to be something you’d like to read!
So if you have an idea, let me know through the contact page, Twitter, Facebook or in the comments below. It can be as much as a full synopsis for the story or as little as a one word suggestion.
Remember, at this stage, there are no such things as stupid ideas!
For those of you that don’t know, Scene City is about a city made up of musical genres, where everyone who likes a particular type of music all live in the same area as each other. They have a strong dis-taste towards those from other areas and are generally those cliquey horrible scenesters we all know and love. Like how the kids from Breakfast Club all hate each other before they realise they share a lot more in common than they think except they don’t get all loved up by the end of it.
I realise it’s a lame-ass lazy way of writing but I’ve been so busy with various projects lately, I’ve not had time to think about it properly.
Anyways, would love to hear your suggestions and to make this book as good as it can be for those most important people, the readers
Cheers guys
-Rob
